Abstract

Human rights are universally recognized as fundamental rights essential for the dignity, freedom, and development of every individual. However, in conflict areas across the world, human rights are frequently violated due to armed conflicts, insurgency, terrorism, ethnic violence, political instability, and militarization. Civilians often become the primary victims of violence, displacement, torture, arbitrary detention, sexual violence, and denial of basic freedoms. Conflict zones also create serious humanitarian crises and weaken democratic institutions and rule of law. This paper examines the nature of human rights violations in conflict areas, major issues and challenges, causes behind such violations, and the role of governments, international organizations, and civil society in protecting human rights. The study further highlights the importance of peace building, accountability, and democratic governance in ensuring human rights protection.
